1987-1996: Employed by NASA at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. Initially she worked as a payload electrical engineer; became lead for the Orbiter Experiments on OV-102; worked on Shuttle payload bay reconfiguration for all Orbiters; Executive Staff Assistant to the Director of Shuttle Operations and Management working on analysing Shuttle flow and processing procedures; Orbiter Project Engineer OV-104 for two years; Lead Orbiter Project Engineer OV-102; Technical Lead Government Engineering position in Firing Room supporting and managing integration of OV testing and troubleshooting
