CAREER
1989-2000: Following high school she worked towards her BS degree in aerospace engineering then completed graduate work at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography which included near shore underwater acoustic propagation and digital signal processing. She also served as Chief Scientist during at-sea data collection operations, planning and leading diving operations, and in-water instrument testing deployment, maintenance and recovery as well as sample collection and participation in educational demonstrations
