Celebrating 50 years of the NASA astronaut office 1959 - 2009

From 1978 (Group 8) through to 2004, NASA selected a further 12 groups for primarily the space shuttle programme, though members also flew on International Space Station, the Russian Mir space station and Soyuz spacecraft.  Each of these selections designed a group emblem shown below :-
